The award honors Chief Deputy Jody Cash who spent more than two decades in Kentucky law enforcement. Jody graduated as valedictorian of his class at the Kentucky State Police Academy, and he received both the KSP Trooper of the Year and KSP Citation for Bravery in 2014. He lost his life in the line of duty on May 16th, 2022. Known for a lifetime of charity and philanthropic community involvement, his family established the scholarship to continue his legacy.
