Contact Lenses in Murray, KY
At Jarvis Vision Center, our eye doctors have years of experience fitting patients for all varieties of contact lenses, taking the time to look at each eye individually and evaluate it with our advanced in-office technology. We’ve helped countless patients feel comfortable and see clearly with contacts.
Consider Your Contacts’ Quality & Fit
Our eye doctors are experts at finding you just the right lenses for your eyes. Dr. Reed Jarvis and Dr. Jesse Williams are highly practiced at providing you with quality lenses that fit comfortably — both on your eyes and into your daily life — and have you seeing clearer than ever.
A Contact Lens Exam
We’ll take a closer look at the cornea and/or sclera, where your contacts will rest, to be sure that they can properly support your lenses. We use some of the best technology available for our contact lens exams, and will identify anything in your eyes that we would need to address before fitting your contacts.
A Contact Lens Fitting
During a contact lens fitting, our expert opticians will take the time to find the right contact lens brand and style for you that provides both comfort and vision correction. If this means exploring specialty lenses, we’ll walk you through the advantages of all your options.
First-time contact lens wearers will also get an introductory lesson in wearing contacts and how to care for them at home. Keeping contacts clean is crucial to eye health, and we’ll help you protect your healthy vision for years to come.
Types of Contact Lenses
There are a number of different types of contact lenses, each of which fulfill various needs. We’ll help you find which ones are best for you. Here are some of the options we recommend to our patients:
Soft Lenses
Daily, Weekly, and Extended Wear
Some people prefer to wear daily disposable contacts because they don’t want to wear contacts every single day, while others can use weekly or extended-use contacts for longer periods, storing them in a hydrating solution when not in use (usually overnight).
Toric Lenses for Astigmatism
Toric lenses are constructed a certain way, with either thickened zones or lens truncation, so that the lens stays in the same position on the eye and gives the same refraction every time. People with astigmatism need this so that the lens’ focus stays consistent with their irregularities in their corneas.
