COVID-19 Updates in Murray, KY
Jarvis Vision Center is Safely Open for Appointments
At Jarvis Vision Center, we know how important it is to have access to eye care you can trust during uncertain times. We don’t take that trust lightly — we’ve worked diligently to make our practice environment as safe as possible for our patients and staff alike.
How We’re Serving Our Community
We’ve always put people first, and in times like this, that commitment has not wavered a bit. We’re still here to provide great eye care, and we’re taking every precaution we can to keep you safe in the process.
How We’re Keeping You Safe
The health and safety of our patients and staff is important to us, and we’ve taken steps to keep things as sterile and hygienic as possible during this time. To maintain the recommended six feet of physical distance and reduce incidental contact, we’ve made the following changes:
- We now offer telehealth and after-hours availability for non-emergency appointments and patients at higher risk of contracting COVID-19
- Staff members who don’t need to be in the office are working from home
- Deliveries are now being received through a separate back door of the building
- We’ve adopted digital technology that allow us to perform critical tests and diagnostics in a safer way
In addition to these precautions, everyone is recommended to wear a mask when on the premises, and we sanitize every station that sees patient contact throughout the day and between visits.
Curbside Pickup & Free Shipping
We’ve stepped up our commitment to ensuring that you feel safe getting the eye care products you need. Whether it’s new glasses, a contact lens prescription, eye health vitamins, or other doctor-recommended items for your eyes, we’re now offering two convenient ways to get them. First, there’s free shipping right to your door, or alternatively, we offer curbside pickup for anyone who wants to come by at their convenience.
Contactless Payment
We’ll accept all forms of payment (including credit/debit cards) at our curbside pick-up, but we’re encouraging patients to pay ahead of time. This can include paying with a credit or debit card over the phone or online, either when you order or sometime before your visit.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
On the day of your appointment, we prefer that patients call or text us upon arrival to keep track of who’s in the office and ensure physical distancing. We also ask that you come alone, if possible.
People with fevers or those feeling ill will be asked to reschedule. After you’ve entered our office, you’ll have the same great experience and minimal wait times as always. We’ll be limiting contact with items such as glasses frames, and sanitizing everything as we go.
We look forward to seeing you back in our offices, and if there’s anything else we can do to make you feel safer or more comfortable at our office, please don’t hesitate to let us know. To book an eye exam at Jarvis Vision Center, please call us or a schedule an appointment. See you soon!
