Dear Patient,

At the strong urging of the CDC and the Kentucky Association of Optometric Examiners, we are postponing all routine eye care visits until April 6th, 2020. We are still open by appointment for “essential” and “urgent” eye care issues.

Services Available:

  • Call or Text us at 270-759-1429 – We are still here to answer your calls from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday! You can still reach our doctors 24/7 for eye-related emergencies.

  • Eye Problem Appointments – We are still scheduling appointments for foreign body removal, evaluation of flashes & floaters, sudden changes in vision or essential/critical vision exams.

  • Eye Infections – We are using Tele-health Technology with common devices such as FaceTime or Skype, for initial evaluation of red eye and other possible infections.

  • Glaucoma, Post-Ops & Retina follow-up appointments – Doctors will reach out on a case-by-case basis to determine if you need to be seen and to refill your drops.

  • Getting your Glasses, Contacts, Vitamins or Drops

  • Glasses & Contacts – if you break your glasses or have run out of contacts, call us. We can extend your prescription, refill contacts or provide replacement glasses to help get you through.

In-Office Safety Protocols

As always, Jarvis Vision Center is committed to doing everything necessary to protect the health and safety of our patients. In light of recent concerns regarding COVID-19, we want you to know what we are doing to keep our office safe.

  • SANITIZATION: As always, we maintain hospital-grade sanitization of all exam lanes and medical instruments and equipment. During this time, we are going the extra mile to make sure every touch point and surface are sanitized, including all the little things like doorknobs, eyeglass frames and even pens. Only 100% healthy employees will be here working.

  • NEW GREETINGS: When you visit our office, you will be greeted with a friendly wave rather than a handshake or hug. The coffee bar will also be closed temporarily. We’ll do our best to make you feel like family while taking these extra precautions.

  • RESCHEDULING IF SICK: If you are ill or have the following symptoms: fever, body aches, cough or sore throat we will reschedule your appointment It is better to be overly cautious and we are happy to reschedule you once you’re feeling better.

  • SELF CARE: We are encouraging everyone to take extra precautionary measures to stay healthy, especially washing hands often. Click HERE to read more on CDC recommendations for staying safe and healthy.

  • EYE EMERGENCIES: If you have an eye infection or other eye-related emergency but have concerns about coming to the office, please call us. Doctors may be able to evaluate certain eye conditions, such as “pink eye” or viral conjunctivitis, via video conferencing or arrange to see you after normal hours.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call. Your health, your family and your eyecare is always our top priority.
Sincerely,

Dr. Jarvis, Dr. Williams & Staff
